CRANKIE WORKSHOPS
Our crankie workshops have become popular at festivals and museums. We bring precut boxes, scrolls and spindles. No art skills needed! Participants illustrate the scroll using rubber stamps (Sue has been collecting
them for many years). Add in words and hand-drawn images if you wish. These workshops are for both children and adults.
For more information on crankies, visit Sue's website, TheCrankieFactory.com. Click on the Make a Crankie page for instructions.

PAST CRANKIE WORKSHOPS
Cama Beach State Park
Saturday June 8th, 2019 - Cama Beach State Park on Camano Island, WA. We gave a crankie workshop in the afternoon 1:00-2:30 PM. Twenty five crankies were made! Participants used rubber stamps with an island theme to illustrate the scroll: fish, whales, lighthouses, ships, birds and many more.
In the evening we will be performing tunes, stepdance and crankies shows. See the photo gallery here.
Mackin House Museum at Festival Du Bois
March 24th, 2019, we made Mackin House Crankies at the Mackin House Museum
in Coquitlam, BC. Children and adults used rubber stamps and markers to illustrate their scroll. The theme was early 20th century items from the museum such as a hand-cranked pencil sharpener, egg beater and coffee grinder. We are partial
to things with cranks. Watch the video below from one of the participants. This workshop was a part of Festival du Bois, one of our all time favorite festivals.
Vancouver Folk Music Festival
July 15th and 16th, 2017. Two busy days of crankie (moving panorama) workshops, performances and jam sessions in the Francophone Tent! Fifty crankies were made, we were very busy but very happy! See the video below of a crankie made by Ian. ❤

Pioneer Days at the Job Carr Cabin Museum
September, 2018 - We gave two - one hour crankie workshops at this outdoor festival with wonderful ol time music in the background provided by our good friend (and
crankie artist as well) Charlie Beck. There is a cafe next door so we had our lattes and beautiful weather. A perfect day. Check out our photo gallery from past years.
